Ed Rempel
Financial Planner
Ed Rempel is a strategic Financial Planner who built his practice by providing his clients with solid, comprehensive financial plans. Ed is in high demand; he has written numerous articles, trained many financial advisors and is considered the “Smith Manoeuvre” expert in the Toronto area. He has received accolades from Frasier Smith in his book “The Smith Manoeuvre” for customizing this strategy for hundreds of clients.
Ed’s financial career began as an accountant after earning his Certified Management Accounting (C.M.A.) degree in 1984. He worked in this capacity for 20 years including 12 years as Controller for Simmons Canada. His extensive experience in tax and finance gave him the impetus to launch his practice as a financial planner to help others benefit from his knowledge.
In 1994, Ed began his financial planning career with W.H. Stuart and Associates. He completed his Certified Financial Planning (CFP) degree in 1997. Within a year Ed was promoted to Vice-President of Major Accounts. In addition to working directly with clients, he was responsible for developing training courses about mutual funds and financial planning. He personally trained 216 financial advisors at Ontario's 5 largest credit unions. The extensive research involved in creating those courses fostered unique philosophies that are proving to be extremely beneficial to his clients today.
Ed is a strategy enthusiast; constantly reading and learning all he can about financial planning and investing. In his travels, he has met many advisors and brokers that still believe in what he calls "conventional wisdom". Ed believes this conventional wisdom is a formula for poor performance and has created strategies like “Rempel Maximum” and “Debt Miracle” to give his clients the best results possible. He has assembled a hand-picked team to collaborate and strategize on each client case. They are equipped with the best training, software and processes to consistently deliver stellar results for his clients’ financial plan. Ed and Ann provide their services through Armstrong and Quaile Associates, a friendly, mid-sized dealership employing the latest technology and software to help clients.
Having become an authority on the Smith Manoeuvre and financial planning Ed’s articles and comments can be found on numerous web pages and blogs just by searching “Ed Rempel”.
Rob Hof
Financial Planner

Vowing to do everything within the law to minimize his taxes, Rob began scouring the Internet for ways to improve his personal situation. While searching, he found Ed Rempel’s articles and blogs, and saw an immediate synergy.
Rob’s involvement with Ed Rempel and Associates began as a client, but both he and the company quickly determined that his passion for creating plans could be refocused, helping Team Rempel’s client base with their varied financial goals.
Rob graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Communications and is currently studying for his CFP designation.
