Reflecting on My Life & Progress Towards My Mission in Life

Today I’m reflecting on my life and progress towards my mission in life – to educate Canadians about what really works to achieve financial security & freedom.

I have seen thousands of Canadians struggle with money. I see bad or suboptimal advice based on conventional wisdom all over the financial industry and to a lesser degree in the financial blog world.

I sincerely hope I can influence you to have the financial security & freedom you can have with smart choices and a Plan.

I hear from people all the time how my advice has changed their life. This is so fulfilling for me.

I have been able to be a much bigger influence than I ever expected. I was a quiet intellectual type when I was young. I’m continually shocked to be an influencer!

Here’s my progress:

Both lists are elite bloggers & influencers that work hard to educate Canadians. I know most of the bloggers and consider many to be friends.

I feel honoured to be on these lists, because my posts are too in-depth for the widest appeal.

I want my readers to get insightful, practical insight in every post. I can’t effectively show you my insights in a 500-word blog that most of the “experts” say is the right length.

My blog is a unique voice on this list of best blogs. I am the only full-service professional financial planner in the top 30 and I have a ton of real-life experience.

Writing thousands of Financial Plans has given me clear insight into what really works. It’s not what you hear everywhere. It’s unconventional wisdom.

Unfortunately, almost all of the financial education of Canadians is done by people that are not professional financial planners.

The “experts” quoted in the media have popular blogs & podcasts, but usually have no financial education and no experience with actual financial clients. I strive to be an insightful, educated, experienced educator with unconventional wisdom.

Many blogs are focused on low fees, daily cash flow, free advice and Millennials. I know from experience the benefits of high-quality advice.

Once you are living your long-term lifestyle, a Financial Plan is your single most valuable financial step. Going through life without a Financial Plan is like driving in a new city without a map or GPS.

I see from first-hand experience why people with a written Financial Plan and a financial planner have on average 4 times more investments. They make smarter decisions.

My team & I work with elite All Star Fund Managers that have outperformed their indexes over their career after all fees and am confident it is skill.

100% of my personal investments are with the same fund managers our clients have. I base every post on my experience.

If you follow me online through my blog, YouTube channel or podcast, then I know you’re into taking control of your finances and building long-term wealth.

I take requests for topics. I want my blogs, podcasts & videos to make a difference in your life. Send me a note if you have a topic you would like me to talk about.

I am honoured to be on these elite lists!
